We “Spill the Tea” from Episode 14
It isn’t too late…
Susanne is a great example of a growing reality in society. According to recent stats approximately 31% of seniors (55 & older) have expressed an interest in continuing their education, with 35% aiming to degrees, 20% going after graduate or doctorate programs.
This could be a response to the need to keep working, or the desire to keep active in the workplace as people are living longer. U.S. Bureau of Labor projects a 96.5% rise in employment among those aged 75 and older by 2030. But more likely, like Susanne, it is because seniors see it as healthy to keep learning, growing and finding ways to apply the life experience they have gained. We find Susanne’s example so inspiring of listening to the promptings of God and going for it!! (if you haven’t yet - be sure and listen to the podcast to hear about her journey as a student!)
