We’ve Had Fun in Season One, “No Cap!”
It has been a journey of Fun & Connection…
It was in episode #3 when the Fun started showing up. Susan’s grandson Jordan tried to school us in slang. It’s worth the listen. Episode #4, Nancy Myklebust helped us discuss grief, especially around the holidays & shared some great ideas they do as a family. To round out the holidays (or anytime) is the bonus episode with Martie Beck who provided us a lifetime of ideas to do with kiddos in your life - a must listen!
We started the year off right talking with Polly Blasko in Episode #6 and learning about the benefits of a halotherapy and she generously gifted local Fun Grandma listeners a discount to their services - check out the episode description & take advantage of that one. Episode #7 was so inspiring on what being in community does for the soul with Keri Rinard. We followed up with Episode #8 and Susan’s husband Brad Bramlet for Valentines Day & a great discussion on Love Languages. Episode #9 was with the content creator, Ange Movius who has her own offerings on line we hope you’d check out - she also had some really fun ideas to do with kids.
Episode #10 (our most listened to episode) was with the fabulous friends, Terry Cox & Susan Mann. Best friends for many decades, these women inspired us in friendship & living life to the fullest. Episode #12, (our most mentioned episode) is a thought provoking episode with April West & Jessica Movius - both breast cancer survivors who have lived out what it looks like to suffer well. Anyone would benefit from this episode!
You need to check out Episode #13 and get the full scoop on Susan’s family - especially Parker Sue her darling great-grand daugther. Episode #14 is another episode with GREAT IDEAS for spending time with your grand kids. Susanne Maynes inspired us in multiple ways as a student later in life and her willingness to be herself as a grandparent. Episode #15 was with none other than Val Byrd who shared deep wisdom on transition and going after new seasons.
If you’ve missed any be sure and give them a listen - we suspect you’ll have many take aways like we did.

Join us as we consider the question: Would you throw yourself a baby shower as a new grandparent? We also get into the rising statistic of those who live 24/7 with their grandkids. We finish up with a reflection over the first season of “Fun Grandma!!” We discuss what we have learned, some of our favorite moments and how our lives have changed for the better. It truly has been a season of learning what it means to connect with the next generation, how to show up when things get hard and trading some really fun suggestions on how to spend time with the kiddos in your life.
