The relationship with your daughter in law or son in law is so important. Show admiration, and gratitude for the parents they are.
Grandkids grow through many stages; be willing to change and adjust to what they need in each stage. Ask, “What do you need from me?”
Start a text stream with your grandkids to use occasionally to share you are thinking of them, praying for them.
Help your grandchildren know they are loved by God.

Challenge Chart Ideas…
Ronda mentioned she created a chart for her grandchildren when they were teens. It is a chart of activities that she would pay them for if and when they completed them. Here is the list of her ideas… we’d like to hear from listeners what other ideas you have!
Research a political party and represent that part at a family dinner
Kindness Service project; someone outside of the family, grandparents would do it with them.
Table Talk; you need to speak for at least 5 min. about your favorite on line game. We will feed you dinner
Chef for a Night; pick a dinner you want to learn to cook from scratch, grandparents will take you to buy groceries and help you cook
Research Family History; mom or dad’s side (or both) complete a family tree
Movie Night; you pick movie and invite your grandparents - grandparents will supply the popcorn
Table Talk; your favorite vacation. Bring photos, explain what made it fun. Grandparents can ask questions
Act of Kindness; make something with your hands for someone not in your family
Game Night; game is your choice. To earn the money you have to play a game to the end
Table Talk; School. Be ready to answer the questions provided about school; we will provide dinner
Appreciate Others: Provide a link for grandchild to know how and where to send a letter to somone in the armed services.
Charity; Grandparent will donate $100 in your name to a place child has researched
Video; “A Day in the Life of…” make a video about your day to day
Have someone video you telling 3 -4 of the best jokes you can find.
Walk or Run; invite your grandparents to an upcoming charity run and they will pay the entrance fees.
